Hi Jim,
Great question...Sorry about the delay answering it.
Quiznos corporate has had issues for awhile. The CEO left. Came back.
Franchisees sued for big money.
Their reputation (Quiznos-not the franchisees) has taken a hit, and stores are going under because of it.
It really sucks for the franchisees...

Hi Randy,
What types of folks are you looking to connect with. I know several in Canada.

Tim,
Since you ARE on a franchise development schedule with the franchisor, it's important to keep to it!
Sit down with your CPA, and figure out your numbers.
I know you are trying to lower your risk. That's good.
Keep an open mind, and get your 1st location past break-even.

Leslie,
Yes, you're right;
There are over 30 senior-care related franchises to choose from.
1. Decide if you want to focus on medical of non-medical care
2. Contact 3-4 after you decide, and arrange some calls with the fran-dev directors
3. Ask lots of questions, and then contact franchisees and ask even more.

Hi Joel, it seems that your expertise in the franchise industry is USA focused. I live near Toronto, Ontario in Canada. Do you have quality Canadian franchise related contacts in the Toronto, Ontario area? Please advise.
Thanking you in advance,

I'm thinking about a senior care type business. There seems to be a lot to choose from. Any ideas on how to pick one?

Tim,
First off, take a look at your franchise agreement, closely. Find out when you have to have it done by.
Next, talk to some of the friends you've made that are franchisees of the same franchise. Find out what their financials were like when they opened up their next location.
Finally, talk to your franchisor. They win if you win. Let them help you along, here.

Hi Joel,
I am on a schedule, and I'm supposed to be looking for a location.
